The Aero Club of Italy (AeCI) is a public law body, subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It is the only national body that represents Italy at the International Aeronautical Federation FAI.

It is a non-governmental and non-profit making international organisation ratifying world and continental records and coordinating the organisation of international competitions. It is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
